Kony 2012

I'm sure you've all heard of Kony 2012. If not, here's the video link:

This thing has taken the world by storm. We're all looking for this man, Joseph Kony, who's hiding somewhere in Africa.
I'm sure that this is an importan event, I absolutely agree with that idea. However, I'm not so sure that it'll change our world. Some people believe that this will turn the social status upside-down. But will it really?
Our world has functioned with the rich, famous, and sometimes naughty, at the top. They have all the attention, and the world focuses on them.

So, Kony 2012 may spur on a reaction, but do you remember that oil spill off the coast of Mexico a year ago? That was all over the news for about six months, and then what? Did it go away?
No, we just stopped paying attention. We don't have very long attention spans, even for important matters such as this. So, although Kony 2012 can make a difference, I don't think it'll turn our world upside-down. We might have to wait a bit longer for that.

So, welcome to my blog! What will I be writing about on thi blog? Well, it's kind of my own personal opinion on modern happenings, and what's going on around the world. In sorts, it's a personalized news blog.
You might ask why a 13 year old girl writes about the news. Well, most of us kids actually do have an opinion on what's going on! I know I do, at least, and I want to share my voice with the world. All of us have a voice, but not everyone uses it.
